I highly recommend getting in touch with Ron Friedson if you are looking for a saddle to fit your horse. We have horses of all breeds and sizes, and the Butterfly Dressage saddle fits every thing in our barn. It’s made with two hinges on each side of the saddle that reshape automatically to fit any horse. A few of our horses are older with little to no topline, and the saddle still fits them perfectly. The saddle comes with a girth, stirrup leathers and irons, and a fully custom saddle pad, made of cotton and fleece, with shimable thinline and felt pads. I am thrilled with the service and the products.

I have never written a review before this but had to do it because of the extraordinary experience I had when purchasing a saddle. I was getting nowhere on my search for my perfect saddle. After speaking with 3 other saddlers I reached out to Ron and this is where extraordinary begins!

Ron spoke to me for over two hours without rushing me through my long list of demands. When I asked what I owed him he replied, “nonsense that is what I’m here for". Immediately my wish list, pictures and measurements were on their way to Ron in Connecticut. We spent hours on the phone going over every detail.
The brilliant advice, extraordinary customer service, and hours he put in to get me the perfect, yes, the perfect saddle, was priceless. Ron is full of knowledge and embraced the challenge of getting me what I wanted. He carries a large selection of saddles/tack and will not sell you anything unless you really need it. He could have sold me everything but insisted I try other things first.
If anyone is looking to purchase a saddle you must speak to Ron Friedson in Ct. I found the needle in the haystack and encourage my fellow riders, to save time and money and check him out first. You will be happy you did.
